Michael Azgour was selected as a 2009 Heart Artist. Hearts in San Francisco is a Bay Area-wide "heart installation" that debuted in the spring of 2004. The financial beneficiary of Hearts in San Francisco is the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.

Michael's heart was on public display at Yerba Buena Center For The Arts, located at 701 Mission Street in downtown San Francisco across from MOMA, for six months during 2009.
